Build your team while your team builds bikes for underprivileged children during Life Cycles - the original bike building teambuilding
As the inventors of the bike building teambuilding process in October of 2000, we invite you to experience the original Life Cycles program. Through Odyssey’s design and delivery of this program on five continents we’ve helped more than 50,000 co-workers and teams build enough bikes to watch over 10,000 kids ride off into the sunset!

The centerpiece of our philanthropic programs is the Life Cycles workshop. This bicycle building program is a perfect example of the ripple effect of “paying it forward.” It’s the Life Cycle of creating something valuable and passing it on. Your team will experience firsthand, the influence their actions, integrity, attention and intention have on their work. They’ll recognize their impact on the lives of their co-workers, families, friends and customers. And they’ll discover how very much they receive from the simple act of giving.
Odyssey’s philanthropic teambuilding programs showcase the ‘Life Cycle’ of one’s contributions to the team (and product) resulting in real value to real customers. We begin with experiential assessments like ‘Change Now’ to measure adaptability and then move into “Pressure Points” to measure problem solving skills and collaboration. From there we dive into values and their correlation to customer centricity and teamwork.
The stage is then set for the ‘product’ simulation (the building of the bikes) which mirrors the workplace through limited time, tools, and expertise. What unfolds is something that begins to have more meaning and value. People begin to think about a ‘customer’ at this stage but with limited emotional connection and commitment. Quality is often questionable and so is the overall sense of teamwork. The missing link? The customer! To fulfill the ‘Life Cycle’ and the lessons, we bring in real kids to receive the brand new bikes built by your team. The ‘simulation’ transcends into something real, something impactful, something emotional.
So what does this mean at your meeting and in your business?
Your meeting objectives come to life by doing something good instead of something they will forget.
Your colleagues will connect with the value of their product, their work, their team, and your organization.
