Long before Odyssey Teams became a global leader in corporate training and philanthropic team building, Bill John “went first.” Alongside our host Lain Hensley, he helped shape the original vision of Odyssey - one rooted in purpose, impact, and transformation.

For over 30 years, Bill’s methods have inspired teams across the world. He’s helped thousands of organizations reconnect to the “why” behind their work, while leading efforts that have delivered over 55,000 prosthetic hands to amputees in 85 countries. He also pioneered the Bike Building program, donating more than 30,000 bicycles to children in underserved communities worldwide.

What can’t Bill John do? Honestly, not much. He’s the kind of person who’s either already great at something - or eager to learn. His curiosity and humility fuel everything he touches.

When he’s not changing lives in the program room, Bill is behind the lens, pursuing his passion for wildlife photography and conservation. That same passion inspired the philanthropic arm of Odyssey’s Team Mosaic Give program, which helps protect endangered species and habitats in Africa.
